Marketing/advertising portals like Adsense, Bidvertiser, Linkworth, Widgetbucks, Chitika, and Cliksor are being used by those who are big time online earners or by those who have a background in web designing and publishing to generate their income. To be able to earn from these sites, you must have at least a blog and that your blogging site allows you to display adverts. I don’t know any free blogging site which allows it’s bloggers to display adds on their blogs except Blogspot. So if you have have a blog there, you probably want to monetize it by displaying Adsense adverts
What about for those who doesn’t have any background in web designing and publishing at all? Those people who are not gifted with computer/internet savvy skills but have a lot of time to spare online? Well, GPT (get paid to) sites are for you. What you earn with GPT sites will not likely equate to what you earn with your regular job but if you will join in as much GPT sites as you can, be active in them and convince other people to join as well then you might be lucky enough to get a decent income every month.
Here’s a list of Get Paid To sites.

Hey, I’ve also come across Helium, which is actually advertised on google adsense on this blog when I came in as well… but it pays you to write, I’ve signed up and it seems people request you to write stuff… they also have competitions and stuff so they have a cool community vibe going on.
But I’d also like to highlight another mechanism I have found to generate traffic and financial returns, a community blog. Sign up with 99 bloggers and you’ll increase your traffic and therefore your financial returns from your online business or blog.
Cheers
