In my point of view, blog advertising networks and other programs that are known to sell links are experiencing considerable loss due to the recent Google Slap. As a blogger who is a member in a lot of these famous networks, I also feel the sudden changes on how things are with them. These are my observations:
1. The very obvious change happening to blog advertising networks is the fact that the number of opportunities for bloggers is greatly reduced. I remember a time when there was always a handful of opps to write about giving me a chance to really choose which opps I would accept but now, there are days that there are no opps for me to write about becuase without my PR, I am not eligible to accept those opps that require PR.
2. If you are blogging with Smorty, maybe you have noticed that they put a message on your dashboard saying that some bloggers have deleted some paid posts and because of this Smorty will withhold payments from a blogger if they suspect that that blogger have deleted sponsored posts which he/she accepted from them. I am a victim of this. Until now Smorty is still withholding a certain amount from me because they claim that I have deleted posts I did for them. Of course, I didn’t do that and I have proven that to them already however they haven’t paid me yet until now.
3. Bloggers and webmasters who are members of networks that are selling links are experiencing delayed payments.
Members of the blogosphere who are generating some sort of an income from their blogs have been greatly affected by Google’s harsh move on PR. Except for a few elite bloggers (most of them hypocrites—as if they never accepted sponsored posts or sold links), all of us are lamenting on how Google is taking away our source of extra income, our bread and butter. What will we do now? What will we do in those long hours of staying home doing nothing? Look for a real job? But for some of us, this is our real job!
So far, the most honest blog advertising network is PPP. They are addressing this problem and are finding ways to solve this problem and for that, I respect them. For the other networks that are making excuses why their payments are delayed and so on, boo to you!

like u my friend, my PR3 went down, too, and such a loss of earnings that was! huhuhu! but i agree with you, PPP is kind enough to help you and me! i hope this rr thing will be the rank that advertiser will solely use at ppp and ignore those pr thingy! hehe….
