In most cases, blog advertising networks allow bloggers to delete a paid post after a certain number of days. If you do, it won’t get you into trouble with the blog advertising network but a lot of advertisers won’t be happy about it. Advertisers may either give you a very low vote or they may flag you so you won’t be able to get another sponsored post from them.

So what do you do with them?

Do you delete them? Well, it’s your right. Your followed the rules and you met the requirements. After the exposure you gave to these sponsored posts, it’s time for them to go. The advertisers can complain all they want but other than flagging you or banning you, they cannot boot you out of the blog advertising network. So it’s okay, there will always be other advertisers (opps).

Do you leave them as they are? Considering that you’ve exerted some time and thoughts into writing these paid posts, they might as well be a part of our blog forever. By doing so, you won’t get into trouble with anybody (just with Google perhaps). Plus, touching those expired paid posts will take some time and effort too. It’s an additional work.

Do you edit them the links by adding a “NOFOLLOW” rel? This is actually a combination of both. It’s like deleting the linkjuice you gave to the advertisers but at the same time allowing the paid post to remain in your blog. This is the most tiresome of the three but the one I consider doing with my paid posts.

None of my paid posts have reached the expiration date yet so I still have time to decide and to ask for advices from those who are veteran in doing paid posts. Tell me, what have you done with your expired paid posts?
